honors

Upson-Lee Middle School proudly hosted its annual Honors Day Program at the Thomaston-Upson Fine Arts Center, recognizing the outstanding achievements of students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The event was a celebration of hard work, academic growth, and student excellence throughout the 2024–2025 school year.

Families, teachers, and community members gathered to honor students who demonstrated exceptional dedication in their studies. This year’s program held special significance as the school celebrated a remarkable number of students who earned a Level 4—Distinguished Learner—on the Georgia Milestones Assessment. Achieving a Level 4 signifies mastery of grade-level content and readiness for the next academic challenge, and the number of students reaching this level continues to grow across all three grade levels.

The ceremony highlighted the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student success. Students were recognized for their achievements in a formal program that reflected the pride and support of the entire Upson-Lee Middle School community.

As the program concluded, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and encouragement, serving as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through hard work, support, and perseverance. Upson-Lee Middle School looks forward to continued growth and success as it prepares the next generation of learners and leaders.
